In a clip from the 2010 BBC series The Trip, comedians Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon attempt to outdo one another with competing impressions of Michael Caine, topping the iconic actor’s own bad impression of himself.

Michael Caine speaks through his nose, like that. He gets very, very specific. WHEN HE GETS LOUDLY, HE GETS VERY LOUD, INDEED.

The Trip, directed by Michael Winterbottom, also spawned the recent sequel series, The Trip to Italy.

Shanks FX (previously), a web series by Joey Shanks and produced by PBS Digital Studios, recently used “in-camera” elements to recreate the impressive CGI black hole from Christopher Nolan‘s newest film Interstellar.

Cut has just released the short film “Grandmas Smoking Weed for the First Time.” In the film, three senior women in Seattle, Washington, where recreational marijuana use is legal, were given marijuana to try for the first time. After smoking from a bong and a phallic vaporizer, the women are given snacks and play Cards Against Humanity.

One participant enthusiastically said, “Yeah, I would try it again… if I can get this bag of chips open!”

Marvel has released a new movie outtake from Guardians of the Galaxy that features Ronan actually accepting Star-Lord’s dance-off challenge. After the two foes exchange a few smooth moves in the dirt, Gamora and Drax the Destroyer decide to get in on the fun dance action.

Last weekend, French art group La Machine (previously) staged a spectacular performance in Beijing with two of the group’s gigantic kinetic sculptures, a spider known as La Princesse, and Long Ma, a fire-breathing horse-dragon. The performance, entitled Long Ma, Spirit of the Dragon Horse, marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China. The Atlantic has an excellent photo gallery of the event. Back in September, we posted about the French premiere of Long Ma.

The 2014 Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze (previously), a Halloween event featuring more than 5,000 illuminated pumpkins arranged into sculptures, is going on now at Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, through November 16th. Among the highlights of the 2014 Blaze: an illuminated covered bridge, a pumpkin T-Rex, and a headless horseman. Tickets for the event — which takes place on select evenings throughout its run — are available online. Mommy Poppins has more on this year’s Blaze.
